The hotel is within walking distance to Black Pork street and Dongmun Market. There is a supermarket (MARTRO) and a convenience store (7-11) nearby. Our room had a view of the ocean and we had a wonderful time sitting at the balcony enjoying the view and drinking tangerine makgeolli. For those who are driving, there is street parking available and the hotel has a basement carpark. The basement carpark has direct lift access to the hotel rooms and is sheltered from the wind.

Our receptionist was excellent and able to converse in English, Korean and Mandarin Chinese however this was not the case for most frontline staff. The basement carpark has limited spaces and whilst there is a car lift to the basement 2 level, it needs to be operated by one of the staff. The car may only be collected after 7am which may affect plans to go to Hallasan mountain early.

I manage to check in before the official time of 1500 and the staff was friendly. Booked 2 Ondol rooms for my family of 7 persons (4 adults with 3 teens) for 4 nights. The room with 4 pax will be a little squeezy. Love the balcony space as you can sit & enjoy a hot cup of coffee during winter. There are 2 washers & 2 dryers on level 2 just beside the gym that cost $2-3k won, detergent at $500 won. Location is very convenient as it is within walking distance to the supermarket (Martro / eMart), Black Pork St, Dongnum Traditional Market, Chilseonglo Shopping street, BHC, Kyochon, Issac Toast, Olive Young outlet etc.

We came fully aware of sleeping on the "floor" as we booked the Ondol Rooms but the "mattress" could be thicker. The elderly will find it challenging and end up with backache the next day. The TV / Tv box in our rooms are basically not working. The Management could consider to place instructions in English / Chinese to guide people how to use the TV box.

Quaint hotel in a good location

Hotel is a comfortable size, with a balcony and good sea view. E Mart and Dongmun market are within walking distance, so are the convenience shops and the black pork alley. The hotel is cosy and beds are ok. There is a good cafe beside the hotel for morning take aways. Staff are helpful and friendly, value for money.

Heater is hard to regulate, it turns off by itself and sometimes gets too hot.

Our stay at Whistlelark Jeju

Room was clean and comfortable but a bit smallish. Location is very good with restaurants, supermarkets within walking distance

We paid for ocean view but the view was blocked by other buildings on the sides. We saw there were other rooms that had full ocean views unlike ours

Nice hotel in Jeju city

Great location near black pork street and Dongmun market. Car parking available (tight spaces but they help guide you in or will park for you). Friendly, helpful staff. Good shower.

Room a bit tired in places (couple of cupboard doors hinges broken, shower door didn't close fully and leaked a bit as a result). Very minor, but there's a light switch in a strange place directly behind your pillow which is easy to turn off or on accidently.

The location of the hotel is good as it is by the sea (although there is no beach but a breakwater with a wide, spacious area for people to play and hangout). There are quite a few good restaurants within walking distance. Unfortunately when we were there, the hotel's air-con system was turned off. We understood the staff as saying this was because it was autumn, although in mid-October, the weather was still somewhat warm. We spent a warm, uncomfortable night in our room even with the sliding door opened.

No air- conditioning.

this hotel is ok but you have a lot of different better options!

close to city center with a perfect sea view! special big thanks for Kim from reception desk for any help ,kindness and professional treatment for our needs.

not clean and dirty carpet and walls, corridor carpet in terrible condition with no color and super dirty and old. we have a lot of restriction in our room like- not using tv electricity point, we cant use air-condition on cold( the hotel decide for his guests which cold or hot air-condition we can use:-((((why???there is also strange restriction about balcony door at 18:00. the multi trainer at the gym is not a good condition and stuck every time. at night our floor(7) was super noisy with a lot of screaming and shouting people, I don’t know if they fight but it sounds like that.

Super clean, relatively spacious rooms, nice big bathrooms, balconies, decent restaurant downstairs.

There was no air conditioning, which wasn't great given the room got up to ~28C in the evening.

Good size room. Comfortable bed. Ocean view is fantastic. Excellent location with plenty of amenities and food within walking distance. Close proximity to airport. Staff able to speak English

Limited parking space. Can be a little noisy from the skateboarder just infront of the hotel.
